Laptop bag gets travelers through security checkpoints without removing
their laptop computer from the bag!
According to the Transportation Security Administration, TSA screens up
to 500,000 laptops at 4800 security checkpoint each day. These
laptops will be taken out of their cases, dropped into a bin, bumped
down the conveyor and left to careen down a roller coaster coming to a
stop either on the floor or in a heap at the bottom of the line.
Out of the hundreds of thousands of laptops inspected each day over
2,000 will be lost or destroyed of which only 600 will be returned to
their owners, intact.
In response to this disaster, Aerovation Products, in cooperation with
the TSA invented the CPF(R) checkpoint friendly laptop bag that would
allow travelers to leave their laptops in the bag during X-ray security
screening. Available since June of 2008, the bag works by placing
the laptop computer in a protective compartment that is attached to
another compartment for accessories or personal items. Once the
laptop is placed in the compartment, you never have to remove it for
screening.
The two compartments are attached to each other with Velcro(R) and
hinged at the handle which allows the user to swing the compartments
away form each other to lay the bag flat on the scanning belt.
Thanks to this patent pending design the screener can look inside the
laptop computer with no obstructions. The laptop computer remains
safely inside its protective compartment.
After the bag leaves the X-ray tunnel the user simply grabs the handle
and picks it up. The Aerovation CPR(R) restores itself to the
carry configuration automatically.
